What Attitude Should We Take To Money
With the arrival of society, money is becoming more and more important in our life.Affected with this trend, some people come to believe that money makes mare go.But their viewpoint could not arouse any echo in my mind.
In modern society, some people take it for granted that money is everything. It has its negative effects, too. For example, some people may misuse money by gambling, drinkingexcessively or addicting themselves to drugs. Some others may even commit crimes in order to get much money. In a word, money is not only the root of happiness, but also the source of all evils.
In my opinion, money is as important as air and water in the commercial world, and itself is neither good nor bad..What counts lies in how to make good use of it.We need money in our dailylife, but we should not be the slaves of money.

Effects of automobiles on modern society
Effects of automobiles on modern society
Automobiles,as the product of modern civilization, have been playing a vital part in the daily activities of human society. Industry needs automobiles for transportation. Agriculture needs automobiles for farming as well as transortation. Every day, automobiles drive people to or from work.. It can be said that the wheels of automobiles move human society forward.
But automobiles have also given rise to a series of problems. For example, cities are overcrowded with automobiles. They make big noises and cause traffic accidents which disable or kill many people each year. Worst ofall, perhaps, the air is polluted by the gases produced by automobiles. Some of the gases are poisonous and dangerous to health.
In my opinion, we should take measures of limiting automobiles. We’d better go out by bus instead of driving private cars. At weekends, we can ride bicycles to the countryside around a city. This activity is both enjoyable and good for our health. In a word, we will eventually find satisfactory solutions to the problems.

A Letter to the College President about the Canteen Service on Campus
A Letter to the College President about the Canteen Service on Campus
Apirl 14th,2008
Dear Mr.President,
I am sophomore from this university and I am writing to you about the unfavorable changes in the food and service in the canteen on campus since I came here.
Such undesirable changes can be found in the aspects as follows. First, the dishes are scarcely well cooked an most of them taste the same. Secondly, most of the dishes there are priced so high that some students cannot even afford them. And worst of all, the service in the canteen is far from satisfying and the inside of the canteen always seem untidy.
But alll the foregoing does not mean that there is little room for further improvement in it. To solve the problem, I suggest that another canteen be built and a mechanism of competition be introduced between the old and new. Besides, both the canteens should be subject to the students’ supervision.
Dining is an everyday issue for students. It may affect their academic performance. Therefore, I sincerely hope this letter can draw your attention to the matter and I hope the problems mentioned above can be solved as soon as possible.
Best regards.
Your sincerely
